For the discriminating and budget-minded beginner, traveler, teacher, or student, the 26-string Ravenna fills many needs with its affordability, reliability, and portability. Most importantly, it has a rich and satisfying sound.

Its innovative design and patented construction techniques allow us to incorporate more features than are usually found in harps in this price range. The stave-back soundbox makes for great playing comfort. A built-in leg drops smoothly into place for convenient and adjustable playing support, and an optional long leg raises the harp to standing height. A scalloped base enhances playing comfort and control. The Ravenna 26 is available without sharping levers, or with partial or full sets of Loveland levers. For harps with no levers or a partial set, all the lever holes are pre-drilled, making it relatively easy to add levers at a later date.

Dusty Strings’ characteristic bright, full sound, tuning stability, even tension across the strings, and meticulous craftsmanship make the Ravenna 26 a great value.

Using the same innovative design and patented construction techniques as our popular Ravenna 26, the Ravenna 34 offers almost five octaves of distinctive Dusty Strings sound at a very attractive price. It has a warm, strong bass balanced by a bright, clear treble, even string tension for precision playing, and high-quality materials and refined craftsmanship for lasting value.

The built-in leg drops smoothly into place to solidly hold the harp at the player’s ideal heigh. With a 20" range of adjustment, the harp can easily be played sitting or standing.

There are two standard configurations for sharping levers: on the C, F and B strings, or on all strings. Custom lever configurations are available. All the lever holes are pre-drilled for relatively easy installation of additional levers. We use Loveland levers on the Ravenna 34.

With an array of options available, the Ravenna 34 invites you to thoroughly enjoy exploring a full-range harp.

Boulevard 34

  • Maximum height: 121 cm, 48 inches

The 34-string Boulevard was designed with classical players and students in mind, and is quite different in feel and sound from our other harps. The tone is warm and full and the higher-tension concert gut strings provide a shorter sustain than the “typical” Dusty Strings sound. This makes the Boulevard an ideal choice for classical repertoire and for players and students who want a feel similar to that of a pedal harp. It also sometimes appeals to harpists who simply like a less bright sound than our other harps.

The 26-string Allegro is an ideal, affordable instrument for the beginning harp player. Its 3-1/2 octaves make it conveniently portable yet provide it with enough range to serve as an excellent teaching and learning instrument.

We streamline the construction by using a laminated birch soundboard with bound edges. The neck, back, and sides are made of solid sapele. Combining these materials with our long-proven design for a 26-string harp results in a clean, bright sound and a great balance between value and performance.

Available fully levered with Loveland sharping levers, or with Camac levers as an option.

A set of straight-tapered detachable legs (included) raises the harp about 11½ inches to a comfortable playing height. Sets of 5" or 8" legs are also available.

Crescendo 34

  • Maximum height with stand: 135 cm, 53 inches
  • Maximum height without stand: 123 cm, 48 1/2
  • Maximum soundboard width: 34 cm, 13 1/2 inches
  • Weight: with stand approx. 10 kg, 22 1/2 lbs., without stand approx. 9 kg, 21 lbs.
  • Strings: 34
  • Range: 1st Octave A - 6th Octave C

The Crescendo 34 is an ideal blend of affordability, portability and depth of sound in a 4 ¾-octave range. With solid sapele wood neck, back and sides and a laminated birch soundboard (like our popular Allegro 26), the Crescendo 34 has a clean, bright sound with a deep, resonant bass.

This harp is the same overall size as its 32-string predecessor, but now goes down to the low C in the bass. For playing comfort, we’ve added facets on the upper corners of the back. This clever “hybrid-stave” design provides the ergonomic benefits of our popular 36-string stave back harp at a portion of the cost.

To keep the carrying size to a minimum while giving maximum flexibility of playing height, the Crescendo 34 includes an innovative removable stand. It has 5-inch removable legs and nestles into the base of the harp, attaching in seconds with the twist of a knob and without turning the harp upside down. 8-inch legs are an option for those who prefer more height. For those who like a lower height, the harp balances beautifully on the ground without the stand.

The Crescendo 34 delivers a great combination of range, performance and value in an elegant and easy-to-manage harp.

This harp is the same overall size as its well-loved 32-string predecessor, but now goes down to the low C in the bass. For playing comfort, we've added facets on the upper corners of the back. This "hybrid staveback" design provides the ergonomic benefits of our popular 36-string staveback harp at a portion of the cost.

FH 36H

  • Maximum height: 137 cm, 54 inches

  • Weight: without stand approx. 14 kg, 30 lbs
  • Strings: 36
  • Range: Low: C two octaves below middle C, High: C three octaves above middle C.
  • Full set of Loveland or Camac levers

The FH36H has what we feel is the ideal range for a full-size lever harp: five octaves, starting and ending on C. The solid wood construction brings an impressive amount of depth, power and articulation to our characteristic bright and clear sound.

The FH36H has a rectangular soundbox, as opposed to the FH36S. While preserving the superb tone of its popular predecessor, the FH36B, we have increased the playing comfort with facets on the upper corners of the back. This "hybrid staveback" design provides the ergonomic benefits of the FH36S, but at a portion of the cost. The rectangular soundbox shape produces a very balanced, well-defined sound with great projection.

Price:
  • Sapele or maple: USD 6,195
  • Walnut or figured cherry: USD 6,395
  • Bubinga: USD 6,595

FH 34S

  • Maximum height with stand: 124 cm, 49 inches
  • Maximum height without stand: 111 cm, 44 inches
  • Maximum soundboard width: 33 cm, 13 inches
  • Weight: without stand approx. 10 kg, 22 lbs
  • Strings: 34
  • Range: Low: C two octaves below middle C, High: A 2 3/4 octaves above middle C
  • Full set of Loveland or Camac levers

The staveback FH34S is our lightest-weight 34-string harp. Its sleek, petite shape, weight-saving details, and removable stand make it easy to transport. The 34 strings give it a satisfying playing range, and the solid wood construction produces the sophisticated sparkle that is characteristic of the Dusty FH line. It's a highly flexible and fun-to-play instrument that will shine on stage, in your living room, at the therapy bedside, or in a pub session.

The sound is sweet, warm, and beautifully balanced, with a full bass and clear, singing treble. It has the classic Dusty resonance and brightness with some more distinction between the notes and a slightly more focused sound than its larger siblings. The mid and treble strings are one gauge lighter than our other FH harps - just enough that your fingers will dance over them with ease, but you can still dig in without distortion.

Price:
  • Sapele or maple: USD 6,495
  • Walnut or figured cherry: USD 6,695
  • Bubinga: USD 6,895

FH 36S

  • Strings: 36
  • Range: Low: C two octaves below middle C, High: C three octaves above middle C.
  • Full set of Loveland or Camac levers

The FH36S has what we feel is the ideal range for a full-size lever harp: five octaves, starting and ending on C. It surrounds the player with a round, full-bodied and well articulated sound, and its generous depth, power and responsiveness make playing seem effortless. It's a beautiful piece of fine woodworking and a satisfying investment for any harp enthusiast.

The sides and back of the soundbox consist of five facets of book-matched hardwood. This staveback design puts a flat facet, rather than a corner, against the player's shoulder, which some find more comfortable and which makes it easier to reach the lower strings. This soundbox shape, as opposed to the rectangular soundbox of the FH36H, gives a subtly rounder sound with a slightly fuller bass voice.

Price:
  • Sapele or maple: USD 6,895
  • Walnut or figured cherry: USD 7,095
  • Bubinga: USD 7,295
